Parental Involvement

• Parental involvement is vital to us.  We operate an open-door policy where staff are present to chat to parents and carers. We regularly invite parents into Early Years on special INSPIRE lessons and stay-and-play sessions.  These times give parents a chance to see what their child has been learning in school and also time to talk to the adults working with their child.  In nursery parents can stay with their child for ten minutes at the beginning of the session to allow time for them to settle. 

   

   

• Each child will be given a key worker who will be responsible for building a secure relationship with child and parent.

   

  We provide parents with information about what their child is learning in school by sending half-termly planning and weekly newsletters through SchoolPing.  This includes the books that we are reading in school, and activities and vocabulary that we are learning each week so parents can continue their child's learning at home.
